"So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays."

I suppose I really have to reblog this considering how many people called/texted/emailed me to tell me it was ME right after Despicable Me came out.

Drowned in Sound - Tips for 2011

Drowned in Sound have published their first tips for 2011 on Mixcloud and I’m really pleased that they’ve included one of Bear Mask’s tracks. The rest of the mix is awesome - from Nicki Minaj to another Leeds band Worriedaboutsatan it’s definitely worth a listen. Thanks Sean! (you can read their official description below)

Whilst January’s ‘tipping season’ may seem a little way off, we thought it not too premature to preview some new names on the tips of ours and our readers lips (http://drownedinsound.com/community/b…) who we believe you should be keeping both of those ears of yours craned to the sky for in 2011. Will they all be supermassive? Who cares. They’re all already hinting at fine albums in the offing and showing signs of greatness, which is more than enough for us.
